The BPM Imports R-750Z is a versatile fat tire electric trike that not also serves as a rickshaw, but also has plenty of storage, range and power to get you and your passenger to your destination.

Power — 750 nominal watts

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike has a powerful Bafang hub motor with 750 nominal watts, and 85 Newton meters of torque. This is a great hill climber and mud warrior.

Speed  — 20 mph

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike has a top speed of 20 mph, which can be reached using the throttle or pedal assist, making this a class 2 electric bike and therefore not legal to ride in some areas.

Battery and Range — 48 volt 21 ah, 50 miles

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike runs on a 48 volt system and has a massive 21 ah battery for an estimated max range of 50 miles with pedal assist. The battery is located behind the seat post, and can be removed for charging and storage.

Pedal assist sensor — Cadence sensor

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike is equipped with a cadence sensor that measures the rotation of the cranks. Like most cadence sensors, there is some delay from the time the rider starts and stops pedaling to the time the motor activates and deactivates.

Display — LCD

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike display is located on the left side of the handlebars with plenty of electronic feedback including speed, distance, battery level, wattage output and more.

Frame and weight — 6061 Aluminum alloy, 85 pounds

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike one frame size and one color — black — with a curb weight of nearly 85 pounds. This is a bit above average in terms of weight, but the R-750Z does have front suspension, fat tires, a huge motor and seat post suspension, and of course the huge seat in the back, all of which adds a few pounds.

Suspension —  Spring suspension, 80 mm of travel

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike has a no-name spring suspension that offers 80 mm of travel. It also has compression adjust, preload adjust and lockout. This suspension does a good job at mitigating moderate shocks but it’s not well suited for extreme downhill trails or big air.

Gearing — Shimano, 7 speed

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike has a Shimano Tourney derailleur with a 7-speed cassette. It uses a Shimano SIS Index thumb shifter on the right side of the handlebars.

Brakes — Mechanical disc

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike has mechanical disc brakes in the front and rear with 160 mm rotors. These brakes offer ample stopping powered the brake levers are equipped with motor inhibitors, which instantly cut power to the motor whenever the brake levers are depressed.

Warranty — 1 year battery, 90 days parts

The BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike has a 1 year warranty on the battery and 90 days on the parts, but there is an option to upgrade to a 1 year warranty on parts for an additional $99.00.

Price — Starting at $2,495

Starting at $2,050, the BPM Imports R-750Z electric bike is well priced considering the powerful motor, huge battery, fat tires and front suspension. BPM Imports also offers free shipping anywhere in the U.S., which is a nice bit of savings.

Who’s it for — Adventurers with storage needs

This feels like a good choice for those who need a stable platform to ride with tons of extra storage capacity, without breaking the bank. The T-950 is a great entry-level electric trike that ticks off all the essential boxes. For this price, it’s hard to find a trike that beats the T-950 in overall value.
