The Evelo Aries electric bike is a serious road warrior ready to tackle any street you dare to throw in front of it; it can handle some trails as well thanks to its full suspension setup, powerful Bafang motor and massive 3 inch tires.
Evelo has many different electric bikes to choose from; this one, the Evelo Aries, is designed from the ground up to for commuting through less-than-ideal streets. The frame is custom designed so that battery neatly integrates into the downtube, it has a powerful 750 watt Bafang motor, 100 mm of travel in its front suspension alone and disc brakes.

Pedal assist sensor — Cadence sensor
The Evelo Aries electric bike is equipped with a 12 magnet cadence sensor that measures the rotation of the cranks. Like most cadence sensors, there is a slight delay from the time the rider starts pedaling and the time the motor actually activates.
Display — Bafang LCD
The Evelo Aries electric bike uses a King Meter display located on the center of the handlebars with an independent button pad located on the left of the handlebars. This is a good display with plenty of electronic feedback including speed, distance, battery level, wattage output and more.
Frame and weight — 6061 Aluminum alloy, 64 pounds
The Evelo Aries electric bike has one color option, Midnight Orange, at least two different frame sizes (you can enter your exact height on the website and Evelo will automatically send you the right frame size) and weighs in at nearly 64 pounds. The sturdy frame is made from aluminum alloy and the top tube is aggressively angled downward to help tame intense trails and also allow the rider to more easily place their feet flat on the ground when at a stop.
Suspension — Suntour XCM spring suspension, 100 mm of travel,
The Evelo Aries electric bike has a Suntour XCM spring suspension that offers 100 mm of travel. It also has a thru axle, compression clicker, rebound adjust and lockout. Since the suspension can be finely tuned, the Aries is able to tackle just about any trail. It excels at steep climbs and descents too.

The Evelo Aries electric bike has a 2 year comprehensive warranty and an extended 4 year warranty for the frame.
Price — Starting at $2,499

Who’s it for — Commuters with grueling routes
The Evelo Aries electric bike feels like a good choice for those commuters who need an electric bike that can handle their neglected roads. The Aries’ huge 3 inch tires and full suspension make short work of curbs, potholes, manhole covers and really just about anything else the road can offer. It’s also a good option for those who want to occasionally hit some light trails. When it comes to mud and snow, the Aries will excel.
