INTRO

The Rambo Rebel ST is the latest model from Rambo Bikes and it’s exactly what you’d think it would be–a sleek design, robust performance, and versatile functionality. The step-thru frame makes it easy to hop on and off, the fat tires unlock off-road capabilities, and the integrated battery seals the deal that makes this one of the raddest hunting bikes around. Whether you're actually looking for a hunting Ebike or just a reliable ride for cruising around town, the Rebel ST is a great option to consider.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Who is the company behind the Rebel ST electric bike? Rambo Bikes is a well-established player in the Ebike game, with a reputation for producing high-quality, durable bikes that can handle whatever you throw at them. The Rebel ST only comes in one color, which is the TrueTimber Viper Western Camo. It has a starting price of $5,499 USD, which is on the higher end of the spectrum but as we all know, you get what you pay for. Rambo Bikes offers a two-year limited warranty and also offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, allowing customers to return the bike for a full refund within 30 days of purchase if they are not completely blown away by their experience.

MOTOR

Alright!  let's talk about the heart of the Rambo Rebel ST electric bike: the motor. This outdoor voyager is powered by a 1000-watt Bafang BBSHD mid-drive motor. This powerhouse has a peak power rating of 1500W and a maximum torque of 160 N.m. The explosive force when taking off is reminiscent of a Nasa-fueled rocket. Luckily it doesn’t actually lift you into the stratosphere, but maybe the Rambo guys are working on that space-traveling model as we speak. When it comes to speed, the Rambo Rebel ST can reach up to 28 miles per hour, which makes it a Class 3 electric bike. The bike is equipped with a thumb throttle and cadence-sensing pedal assist, allowing you to ride with or without pedaling. It would be cool to see an upgraded mid-drive with torque sensor capabilities, but this is by no means a knock against the current setup.

BATTERY

The Rambo Rebel ST is equipped with a 48V, 21Ah battery which is semi-integrated into the frame. With 1,008 Wh of capacity, you should be able to easily get the advertised max range of 48 miles per charge. Now, when it comes to real-world range, it's always a bit tricky to say for sure. It depends on factors like your weight, the terrain you're riding on, and how much pedal assist you're using, but based on similar capacity batteries and setups, the stated max range should be fairly accurate! We love to see that truth in advertising! Additionally, the battery has a USB port, that can be used to charge your devices on the go.

FRAME

Moving on to the frame, the Rambo Rebel ST has a low-step Aluminum Alloy 6061 frame, which is both lightweight and durable. The frame has a weight limit of 300 pounds, a standover height of 31 inches, and a reach of 15 inches. The standover height is still a bit on the higher side, but the reach makes it very accessible to most riders. The bike also has attachments for a front basket and a rear rack, which means you could load this bike up with quite a few groceries or necessities…or deer. Again, depends on the use case.

SUSPENSION

The Rambo Rebel ST comes with an inverted front fork suspension. Not only does it look awesome, but it also has other benefits, such as 120mm of travel, and a better connection point to the frame, making them stronger and allowing for better trail feedback. The suspension is adjustable with a preload option, which makes it perfect for riders who want to fine-tune their ride. The saddle is pretty standard, nothing too wide, but not too thin either, right there in the middle. For most people, it's comfortable enough, but for those who want an even cushier ride, a seat post-suspension might be a worthwhile upgrade to check out.

TIRES AND WHEELS

The Rambo Rebel ST sits on top of a set of 26x4.5-inch fat tires that are built for rugged terrain and provide excellent traction. These tires are wider than even your typical fat tire bike, which means you'll have extra stability and confidence when you're flying through the mountain trails. The rims are a matched camo to the bike, making the whole aesthetic pretty pleasing. That camouflage will make you nearly invisible when out on a hunt.

BRAKES

When it comes to stopping power, Rambo is not messing around. The Rebel ST comes equipped with Tektro 4-Piston Hydraulic brakes that are designed to keep you safe and in control no matter the weather. These brakes offer more stopping power than traditional mechanical disc brakes, so you can ride with confidence knowing that you have some of the best brakes on the market. So, whether you're out hunting or just exploring the great outdoors, you can feel secure knowing that the Rambo Rebel ST's brakes are there to stop you if that cliff pops out of nowhere.

GEARING

The Rambo Rebel ST is equipped with an 11-speed drivetrain. This is a setup that's sure to make you feel like a true mountain biker, with a wide range of gears to tackle steep inclines and rougher terrain. But don't worry, the Rebel ST's drivetrain is still easy to use and maintain, so you can focus on the hunt and not on your gears. And with the Bafang 1000w High Torque Mid-Drive motor, you'll have tons of options for efficiently climbing a mountain, or whipping through a service road.

COCKPIT

Let's talk about the command center of the Rambo Rebel ST, because trust me, you'll be spending a lot of time there. And let me tell you, it's not a bad place to be. The controls on this bad boy are located on the left side of the handlebar, like a fancy sports car. The thumb throttle is located on the right side. The thumb throttle is like a magic wand, allowing you to control the speed of the bike with just a flick of your thumb. And let's talk about that bright Bafang display. It's like a little window into the soul of this bike, where you can peep information about your ride, such as speed, distance, and battery level, all in an easy-to-read format. But that's not all, it even has a USB port built in, so you can charge your phone or GPS while you're out on the trails. That's right, no more dead phones on extended backcountry trips!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Alright folks, let's recap, if you're in the market for a hunting bike that can handle rough terrain and provide a smooth and powerful ride, look no further than the Rambo Rebel ST. This bad boy is equipped with a Bafang 1000w  Mid-Drive motor, a 48v 21AH battery, and fat 26x4.5-inch tires that will make you feel like you're gliding across an ice pond in Nova Scotia. Plus, the 4 Piston Hydraulic brakes will keep you safe and in control, even in the most extreme conditions (maybe not on an actual ice pond, though). And let's not forget about the 2-year limited warranty and 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Rambo Bikes has got your back, and they want you to be happy with your purchase. So, if you're ready to take your hunting game to the next level, give the Rambo Rebel ST a try. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
