The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter is a small but powerful folding scooter that’s ready for the daily commute.

Green Bike Electric Motion has quite a few different electric scooters and electric bikes; this one, the X3 is their take on a commuter scooter, and comes stock with a powerful motor, a high capacity battery, pneumatic tires, disc brakes and front suspension.

Power — 500 nominal watts, 750 peak watts

The Cityrover S5 electric scooter has a 500 nominal watt rear hub motor that does a fairly good job of tackling modest hills, and has plenty of power to hit top speed on the flats with ease.

Speed  — 20 mph

The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter has a top speed of 20 mph, which can be reached using the throttle.

Battery and Range — 48 volt 13 ah, 30 miles

The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter on a 48 volt system and has a 13 ah battery for an estimated max range of 30 miles. The battery is housed underneath the deck, keeping the center of gravity low and also protecting the battery from dirt and debris.

Display — LCD

The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter has an integrated LCD screen in the middle of the handlebars that displays pertinent information like speed, distance and battery level.

Frame and weight — Aluminum alloy, 36 pounds

The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter has an aluminum alloy frame and weighs in at nearly 36 pounds, pretty light considering the large capacity battery and 500 watt hub motor. The scooter only comes in one size but thankfully the stem is adjustable.

Suspension — 20 mm of travel

The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter has a front suspension with approximately 20 mm of travel. This suspension does a good job at smoothing out some of the small bumps but is not suitable for serious off-road use.

Brakes — Mechanical, disc

The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter has front and rear mechanical disc brakes with motor inhibitors built in to help ensure the shortest possible stopping distance. These brakes offer plenty of stopping power, but more importantly, they offer reliable stopping power since they are physical brakes opposed to electronic brakes.

Starting at $1,290, the Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter is more expensive than many other electric scooters, but aside from a powerful motor and a fairly large battery, the X3 offers a high degree of overall build quality which should help this scooter to last for some time. Green Bike Electric Motion also offers free shipping in the U.S. which is a nice little bit of savings as well.

Who’s it for — Commuters with limited space

This feels like a good choice for those who need a solid electric scooter for longer commutes, but who don’t have tons of space for something larger like an electric bike. Electric scooters have more stability than electric skateboards, so that’s also something to keep in mind with this one. The Green Bike Electric Motion electric scooter has enough power to climb small hills and enough range to get you to and from work, the grocery store, coffee shop or wherever else the road might take you.
