Introduction:
Say hello to the Spark X by ESKUTE, an Ebike designed to conquer terrain, and offer pure, unadulterated fun to anyone who hops on. This beauty boasts a powerful motor, a beefy battery, and a sturdy frame ready for adventure. With features that cater to everyone from commuters to off-road enthusiasts, this Ebike has a little something for everyone. Check out ElectrifiedReview.com to see how the Spark X compares to the competition.
Motor:
Let's talk POWER. The Spark X comes equipped with an as-large-as-is-legally-allowed-on-the-road 750W (1500W peak) hub motor that'll make you feel like you're riding a lightning bolt. Positioned in the rear wheel, this motor delivers quite a bit of torque, I mean online it only shows as being 45Nm…but I find it hard to believe that number. It’s at least 85, but definitely enough to scream "Hold onto your hats, folks!" Wanna pedal? Go ahead. The Spark X has 5 levels of pedal assist, and a throttle to take over if you’re feeling a little more scooty, and a little less…pedally? That doesn’t make any sense…just edit that part out.
Battery:
What's an electric vehicle without an impressive battery? The correct answer is a heavy bike, but the Spark X is packing a removable 48V 20Ah (960Wh) lithium-ion battery using Samsung or LG cells. Expect up to 70 miles of adventure on a single charge. With the 54.6V 3A charger, you'll be fully juiced up in about 5 hours, ready to tackle the urban jungle or the great outdoors.
Frame:
Constructed with 6061 aluminum, this monster is suitable for riders ranging from 5'4" to 6'6". Now, it’s a bigger bike, and I’m no bicycle sizing expert, but I’d probably only feel comfortable recommending this to riders at least 5’6”, and since we don’t get an adjustable stem, I think 6’4” might be as tall as I would recommend. Now, that’s still a plethora of peeps that could ride this thing well, but maybe not quite as wide as originally stated.
Suspension:
You couldn’t be taking on the decent outdoors without some decent suspension up front, and the Spark X delivers here. I called it “the decent outdoors” because I don’t want mother nature to get all full of herself. The hydraulic front fork has about 100mm of travel, lockout, and pre-load adjustment. The Spark X comes with sturdy, oversized CST BFT 26" x 4" tires, which provide ample cushioning for both on-road and off-road adventures. The saddle was decent, no real complaint about it. It fit my sit bones well, and folks, that’s what sitting is all about.
Brakes:
The Spark X sports hydraulicdisc brakes with 160mm rotors, giving you the stopping power of a superhero. Combined with the fat tires, you'll feel safe and secure, whether you're navigating a busy city street or a treacherous mountain trail.
Drivetrain:
The gearing here is an all-Shimano 7-speed transmission. The Shimano Tourney derailleur, paired with the Shimano SIS Index thumb shifter, makes this thing easy to shift around if you need to drop it down to climb some hills or ratchet it up for those flat straightaways. Hitting 28 MPH is easy, and we had a blast riding it around, if you can tell from the intro and ride shots!
Extras:
The Spark X has a few extras that are worth pointing out. It features an integrated LED headlight that looks cool and functions pretty well. It has an LED display with Bluetooth app support, so you can track your stats and achievements like a boss. It is a unique type of stem display, at least, it’s the first time I’ve seen it. And if you’re the right size for the bike, then this is a pretty sweet display that shows you what you need to know, but there are no physical adjustments on the stem because of that, so there’s and pros and cons here. I liked the display though. It also features a pretty nice rack as well, with integrated rear light, and plenty of attachment points. It’s also got some nicely-fit fenders that’ll keep you dry and mud free.
Use Case:
The Spark X isn't your grandma's Ebike. Now, if it IS your grandmother’s Ebike, please have her call us so we can get it back to her. We do expect cookies in a fair and equal exchange, though. With a top speed of 28 MPH, a total payload capacity of 400 lbs, and that big motor, this is an Ebike that could kind of fit any role. It’s got a rack and fenders, so it’d be a decent commuter for the right environment, it’s got suspension and fat tires, so it’d be a good bike to cruise around in the woods, and pretty much every other use-case in between.
Conclusion:
You might say the Spark X is the ultimate Ebike for the modern adventurer. It’s powerful, beefy, and most of all…an Ebike. Thanks for riding with us, and we’ll catch ya on the next one!
