Inboard Technology was founded in 2014 and was originally funded successfully on Kickstarter, selling roughly 24,000 electric skateboards by 2016. The company appeared on SharkTank and later raised a whopping $8 million in funding, and everything seemed to be going well as they developed their next flagship product (called The Glider). This all ended suddenly in 2019 when Inboard Technology first announced a move from direct-to-consumer to commercial sales only, and then in November the company laid off all 24 employees and shut down.
You may be able to purchase their products secondhand, but keep in mind there is no longer a company to support them!
The Inboard M1 electric skateboard is a dope looking longboard with two hub motors and a battery that can easily be swapped out in a matter of seconds.
